Cold Creek Conservation Area Hike with the “Take A Hike” Caledon Ladies Hiking Group
Today the “Take A Hike” Caledon Ladies Hiking Group hiked 6.6 kms and burnt over 1100 calories on the Cold Creek Conservation Area trails. Although the trails were icy, our icers/stabilizers made the hike quite easy and enjoyable.
Located within the Humber River Watershed, Cold Creek Conservation Area consists of 470 acres and is part of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. From beautiful forested areas, valleys, swamps and bog trail bridge to the well maintained trails, Cold Creek is a must for hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. When hiking in winter be sure to have some sort of ice traction attachments on your shoes as it can get a little slippery or you can always try snowshoeing.
