10 km Hike Island Lake Conservation Area

Today we hiked a 10 km loop at Island Lake Conservation Area which is located in Orangeville and is part of the CVC. It is a valued natural heritage and recreational resource within the Credit River watershed. The reservoir, created in 1967, controls water flow into the Credit River while protecting the headwaters region. 820 acres of lake, wetland, forest and meadows. The trails include the Vicki Baron Lakeside Trail 6.6km, Sugar Bush Trail 2.3km and Memorial Forest Trail 1.9km.
