Forty Foot Sandycove Ireland – Swimming the Irish Sea
Located on the southern tip of Dublin Bay in Sandycove Ireland, Forty Foot used to be an Irish Sea gentlemen’s bathing place up until 1970. During the women’s liberation movement a group of women took the plunge into the waters giving path to all women and children to be able use this beautiful bathing spot.
It truly is a beautiful spot and a must see place when visiting Dublin Ireland. If you are driving and would like to find a parking spot the best time to take the plunge is early in the morning about 7am.
