Searching for Waterfalls – Upper and Lower Terra Cotta Falls
Today we hiked Terra Cotta in search of the waterfalls housed in the Terra Cotta Conservation Area and the Jack Smyth Field Centre. The lower falls, located under a wooden bridge, were easy to find, the upper falls however a little more difficult, but well worth the steep unmarked trail hike.
Located on the border of Town of Caledon and Halton Hills, the Terra Cotta Conservation Area has great easy to intermediate trails, including the Bruce Trail, filled with breathtaking scenery including mature forests, ponds, swamps, lakes, waterfalls and a marsh.
