“The Great Trail” 100% Connection Celebration Caledon
Today not only is the 100% connection of The Great Trail being celebrated, but also the thousands of people from 100’s of communities across Canada that have been involved in making this possible. At 24,000 kms the Trans Canada Trail is the longest trail in the world, connecting Canada and Canadians from the Arctic to the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans.
Cycling, hiking, trail clubs, dignitaries, town staff and members of the community joined together to celebrate the 100% connection of “The Great Trail” in Caledon East where the first ever Trans Canada Trail pavilion was built. From bike rides, symbolic walk, with past and present mayors and speeches, to unveiling, ribbon cutting, viewing of the new pavilion and lots of activities a great time was had by all.
