Today we had spouses, some of our children and friends join the “Take a HIKE” Caledon Ladies Hiking and Meet Up Group, for the Kerncliff Park Hike. We also had a Special guest, Bruce Trail Volunteer Peter Rumble, help with leading the hike and provide us with information on the area. Thank you Peter and hope you can join us on future hikes.
Kerncliff Park in located at 2198 Kerns Road in Burlington Ontario. The park parking lot has 30 spots which is perfect for a big group such as ours however, we always try to carpool so that we don’t take up so many spots.
Kerncliff Park was once a quarry and is nestled in the beautiful Niagara Escarpment. It features a beautifully built wooden bridge through a marsh, trails along the cliffs over looking the Burlington skyline and Lake Ontario and numerous trails from easy to moderate including the Bruce Trail.
