Bruce Trail Hike at Hockleycrest North of Side Road 5 With The “Take a HIKE” CLHMG
A great start to a chilly Sunday hiking the Bruce Trail with the Take a HIKE Caledon Ladies Hiking and Meet Up Group. We parked in the designated Bruce Trail parking lot on Side Road 5 and hit the trails. 30 to 40 % of the trails were still covered with ice hiding underneath the snow so to be safe most of us walked on the side of the trails. This truly is a beautiful area with numerous side trails running through private property and the Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi Centre. The trails are moderate with hilly parts and this is becoming a favourite on the Bruce. Looking forward to hiking the area in the summer.
