Speyside Bruce Trail Hike in the Beautiful White :)
For someone who hates the cold I have to say I really enjoyed our hike today through the snow on the Speyside Side Trail, Al Shaw Side Trail and The Bruce Trail. It was cool to be the first to leave our footprints on the snow as there was no one on the trails. This is probably the first time we saw no one on the trails and it was amazing having all of nature to our selves.
The trails are located just south of Acton and the Al Shaw Side Trail is in the Speyside Resource Management Area. For the most part the trails are easy to moderate.
When hiking in winter be sure to familiarize yourself with the trail before heading out so that you don’t get lost and always over dress as it is not fun being cold.
