An evening hike with my number one …. That must make me Jean-Luc Picard :)
As the daylight is getting shorter and the weather colder evening hikes can be fun and enjoyable with the right attire and flashlights 🙂
We parked on the west side of Winston Churchill Blvd by the Bruce Trail entrance as it allows for parking on the shoulder.
A quarter of a KM west can be found the start point of the Caledon Trailway. The Caledon Trailway spans over 35 km from Terra Cotta to Palgrave. Purchasing a part of an abandoned railway in 1989, in 1994 the Town of Caledon began work in creating this beautiful multi-use trail for everyone to enjoy. Both, the Bruce Trail and the Trans Canada Trail use the Caledon Trailway in connecting their paths.
Thank goodness for the Take a HIKE keychain flashlights as not only did they help guide us through the dark but they also made for great light for our photos.
Flash lights are also a must in seeing the blazes and the signs along the trail.
