Our Stop in Verona Italy – Juliet’s Balcony and the Verona Arena
Verona has been awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO for it’s urban structures and architecture. This romantic city is the home of Romeo and Juliet’s house with the famous balcony Juliet stood on waiting for her love. As we stepped into the courtyard of Juliet’s house, hundreds of people can be seen waiting to take a photo with Juliet’s statue while they hold her breast in hope of finding true love themselves.
Just a short walk, down the brick road, can be found the busy Piazza Delle Erbe which is the oldest square in Verona. Beautiful old bridges and architecture can be found throughout, including the Verona Arena. This was truly an amazing stop on our way to Venice.
