Alton Pinnacle Loop Trail – Ontario Hiking Trails

All three of us agree Nicola Ross’ Alton Pinnacle Loop Trail is one of the most beautiful trails we have hiked. It’s a moderate 45 minutes to an hour hike with waterfalls, the Alton Arts Centre, beautiful sculptures, forested moderate trails, look out points, mill ruins and the beautiful grounds of the vintage hotel the Millcroft Inn. This is an Ontario hike that should not be missed, it is a photographer’s dream. Check out the photos and see for yourself.

Nicola’s Book Caledon Hiking ; Loops and Lattes guides you every step of the way. If there is one hiking book you are to buy this is the one! Can’t wait to hike the other trails in the book.

About the Alton Mill: The Mill, built in 1881, has been restored and is the home to a number of shops, studios, galleries and a cafe. What a beautiful place with the falls of Shaw’s Creek on it’s south side.
