What a great hike with some amazing ladies!

Our 4th event with the Caledon Ladies Hiking and Meet Up Group was a hike at Island Lake Conservation Area. Located in Orangeville, it is also part of the CVC. It is a valued natural heritage and recreational resource within the Credit River watershed. The reservoir, created in 1967, controls water flow into the Credit River while protecting the headwaters region. 820 acres of lake, wetland, forest and meadows. The trails include the Vicki Baron Lakeside Trail 6.6km, Sugar Bush Trail 2.3km and Memorial Forest Trail 1.9km. For people that are only using the trails there is free parking circled in pink on the map to the right.

Our next events include a FREE “Yoga in the Park,” a FREE class at 9Round Kickboxing in Bolton, a hike at Glen Haffy Conservation Area and a Boot Camp with Revive Fitness in The Park. If you live in Caledon, surrounding areas or you are willing to make the drive to one of our hikes or events, request to join our Facebook Group for times and dates of upcoming events. (For safety and so that we know who is joining the group, ensure that your profile picture is of yourself. Once you have asked to join you will receive a message in your inbox, be sure to check it.) Looking forward to seeing all of you at our next hike or meet up!
