Elora Gorge Conservation Area – Elora Cataract Trailway – Hiking Trails Ontario
I picked up some new hikers for the Elora Gorge Trail 🙂 We began our hike at the Elora Gorge Conservation Area and as the trails are short we ventured off to the rest of the escarpment exploring some amazing views and spots. The three hour hike led us to the historic town of Elora where we stopped off for a beverage and making the loop back to the Conservation area. Along the trails there are areas with stairs leading to the bottom of the lime stone cliffs to get a better look at the Grand river. At a number of spots we were able to explore caves and small waterfalls along the way. As we made our way back to the conservation area we walked by the Elora Mill Ruins. Most of the hike is pretty flat with some slopes and is an easy trail to hike for most.
