Day Trip – St. Jacobs and German Old Woolen Mill Ruins near Glen Morris, Ontario
What a beautiful day for a day trip!!!! First we drove to St. Jacobs to grab lunch. A beautiful little town near Waterloo. Stopped off at the local Brewing company BLOCK 3 to try the local beer. Let me tell you …. if you are into Quilts this is the town to visit …they are everywhere 🙂 We headed down to Glen Morris to check out the German Old Woolen Mill Ruins, just south of Cambridge. After parking, its just a short hike to the mill which is on the Gran River. The Mill is named after the last name of the owners Alva and Sydney German and not the country 😛 who built in 1867.
